Gerald W. Knerr, age 83, of Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township PA, formerly of Allentown PA, died Monday, October 22, 2001 in his residence. He was the widower of the late Marcella R. (Geissenhainer) Knerr.

Born in Norristown PA, he was the son of the late Asa and Clementine (Fegley) Knerr. He was a Plumber with the United Association of Plumbers, Pipe Fitters and Steam Fitters Union Local # 690, Philadelphia for 25 years before retiring in 1983. He was a Member of the Church of the Good Shepherd U.C.C., Penn Avenue and Quarry Road, Alburtis PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corp, having served during World War II with a rank of Sergeant. He was a former Volunteer for Lehigh County Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his Daughter, Sheree L. Knerr of Allentown PA; Son, David G. Knerr of Macungie PA; Sisters, Beatrice Wenner of Allentown PA and Doris Amey of Allentown PA; Brother, Paul E. Knerr of Emmaus PA; 2 Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2001 in the Church. Family and Friends may Call 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the Church.
