Willis V. Diehl, age 86, of Lehighton PA, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004 in the St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He was the husband of Grace A. (Heintzelman ) Diehl. The couple celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary last February 6th.

Born in Franklin Township PA, he was the son of the late Robert P. and Christiana (Strohl) Diehl. He was a Self-Employed Farmer in Franklin Township for 50 years where he and his family Owned and Operated the Fairyland Farms. He was Member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton where he formerly served on the Council. Mr. Diehl was graduated from Lehighton High School, Class of 1934. He was a Member of the Big Creek Grange, Franklin Township; Past Chairman of the former Franklin School Authority; Past Chairman of the Franklin Township Planning Commission; and a Life Member of the Franklin Volunteer Fire Co. #1.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughters Mary Louise, wife of Vincent Gilotti of Lehighton PA, Diane S., wife of Willis Slotter of Troy PA, Christine G., wife of M. Jay Barry of Lehighton PA, Michele D., wife of Charles Glantz of Oley PA and Winona D., wife of Jay Rifenbary of Saratoga Springs NY; Sister, Kathryn E. Miller of Lehighton PA; 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004 in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3rd and Iron Streets, Lehighton PA. Family and Friends may call 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Church. The Reverend Robert A. vonFrisch officiating. Arrangements by Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
