Debra A. (Oswald) Kocher, 49, of Allentown, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of James C. Kocher. The couple celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary last June 14.
Born in Allentown, September 22, 1963, Debra was the daughter of Herbert E. Oswald of New Tripoli and Anna M. (Kiser) Neulin of Allentown. She was employed as a seafood manager at the former Laneco in Dorneyville for 15 years last working in 2001.
A member of the National Youth Sports Coaches Association, Debra was a member of the Orefield Athletic Association coaching OAA softball for 10 years. She was instrumental in the formation of the Mallory Bomboy Tournament. Debra was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1981.
Survivors: In addition to her husband and parents; daughters, Kelly L. Mrozowski and her husband, Rafal,and Kasey L. Kocher both at home; twin sister, Donna M. Kulp of Slatington, brother, Michael J. Oswald of Greentown; step mother, LaVerne M. Oswald; step father, Dennis L. Neulin; predeceased by a son, Jacob J. Kocher who died in 1993.
Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with Pastor Russell Campbell officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
