Maryanne E. (Thursland) Larkin, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter ,sister and beloved teacher, passed away on December 14, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital - Allentown Campus. She was born in Far Rockaway, NY, and lived in Long Beach and Oceanside, NY most of her life before moving to the Lehigh Valley in 1998.

Maryanne held a Masters Degree in English and Secondary Education from Hofstra University and taught in Catholic schools on Long Island and in the Lehigh Valley for many years. In recent years, she was employed as a teacher at a day care center in Schnecksville.

Survivors: She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Michael; children, Brian, Erin and Christine; grandchildren, Zachary and Breanna; one sister, four brothers and her father.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 4456 Main Street (Egypt), Whitehall with the Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Yenushosky as Celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. , 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Interment will follow the service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
