Louis E. Duh, age 84, of Lower Saucon Twp. died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He is the husband of the late Barbara M. (Slabikosky) Duh who died May 16, 1997.

Born in Lower Saucon Twp. on August 23, 1928 to the late Sophia (Chasar) and Stephen Duh. He owned and operated Lehigh Greenhouse, Bethlehem for many years until retiring. Previously, he was a Saucon Valley School driver and mechanic for many years and farmed during that period.

He was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Twp. where he had served on its church council and volunteered at its food bank. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and being with his family

Survivors: Daughters: Barbara D. Duh of Allentown, Kathy J. Fashion of Bethlehem; sister: Ida and her husband Edward Mease of Hellertown; grandchildren: Michael Duh, Jennifer Figueroa and Thomas Fashion III; great grandchildren: Joseph II, Benjamin and Jasmine Figueroa. Predeceased by siblings.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 7 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main St. – Hellertown, and 10:30 - 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, 3233 Apples Church Rd. Bethlehem, followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Tricia A. McMackin, officiating. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials to New Jerusalem Evang. Lutheran Church, 3233 Apples Church Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015.

So sorry for your loss. It is a big loss for sure! We will all miss Louie! Always funny, and loveable. Great memories we all will cherish forever.

One of my fondest memories is at the barn with all the cousins. Louie on his tractor.

We remember fun and work mixed together, farming tomatoes,one year 180ac greenhouse,petunias and geraniums,the picnics, family reunions at Grammy's and the barn. Best Bus Driver ever. Dancing Polka, weddings. Pinnocle,Promise Land camping, going clamming. Mom's little brother, and Dad's traveling companion together again. We will surely miss Uncle Louie.
