Mary C. (Messina) Marzano, 95, formerly of Schnecksville, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Luther Crest Retirement Community, South Whitehall Township, where she had been residing since 1998. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Marzano, Sr.

Born in Maspeth, L.I., NY, November 5, 1916, Mary was the daughter of the late Gaspare and Santa (Dovi) Messina. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield. Her accomplishments and memberships include, chairlady of the former Mahoning Valley Country Club Ladies Golf Committee, member of the Allentown Women's Club, member of the Allentown Symphony Hall serving as chairlady of the Annual Ball, past president of the Allentown Opti-Mrs. Club, member of the Parkland Garden Club and former Den Mother of Cub Scout Troop #57, Neffs.

Survivors: Children, Joanne M. (Marzano) Lewis of Allentown, Leonard J. Marzano and his wife, Carol, of Schnecksville, Joseph L. Marzano, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Upper Gwynedd; daughter-in-law, Helen M. Marzano of Allentown; siblings, Madeline Buttafuoco of TX, Gloria Donatelli of FL, Anthony Messina of NY; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; predeceased by a son, Robert F. Marzano, a grandson, Anthony Marzano and a brother, Frank Messina.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield. Family and friends may pay their respects from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville and 10:15 - 11:00 a.m. Friday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
