Gary L. Hyrowich, 61, of Ironton, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at home.

Born in Orefield, he was the son of the late Harry T. Sr. and Mary (Wasko) Hyrowich. He was formerly employed as a sales representative at Gilboy Ford, in Whitehall and the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. Gary was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors: Son, Duane L. Hyrowich and his fiancé, Naiyu Hayes, of Fullerton, CA; siblings, Harry T. Hyrowich, Jr. of Allentown, David W. Hyrowich of Kempton, Linda S. Dillon of Kutztown, Kathleen L. Hyrowich of Orefield; grandson, Austin J. Hyrowich of Fullerton, CA; predeceased by a brother, Jeffrey Hyrowich who died in 2005.

Services: Private. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.

Contributions: May be made to the funeral home to defray expenses, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.

My uncle Gary was always a voice of reason for me I enjoyed visiting him he was always in a happy mood and positive about things he would tell me that being mad everyday isn't a good thing I learned to be myself when I was around uncle Gary he never judged people. GARY WAS A SPECIAL NEPHEW -- ALTHOUGH 3000 MILES APART, WE HAD FUN TIMES TOGETHER WHEN VISITING IN PENNA. HE IS LOVED & WILL BE MISSED ON OUR OCCASIONAL VISITS. OUR CONDOLENCES TO DUANE & FAMILY.
