John E. Gross, Jr. 67, of Fogelsville, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Joanne T. (Grega) Gross. The couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary last October 26.

Born in Abington, Montgomery County, December 7, 1944, John was the son of John E. Gross of Cliffside Park, NJ and the late Jean (Welchons) Gross. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era. After graduating from The George School, Newtown, Muhlenberg College, Allentown and Pace University in Pleasantville, NY with a MBA, he was employed in sales and marketing in the electrical industry before retiring.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Joanne; father, John E. Gross and his wife, Diana, of Cliffside Park, NJ; sister, Betsy L. Gross of Bloomington, IL, brothers, Thomas E. Gross of Redding CT, Stephen H. Gross of Centerport, NY; mother-in-law, Mary M. Yash of The Phoebe Home; sister-in-laws, Nancy H. Latinision of Allentown, Monica M. Berger of Schnecksville; Aunts; Nieces; Nephews; Cousins.

Service: A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. Visitation period from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box # 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
