Ellen L. Meilinger, 86, of Lower Saucon Twp. died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital - Fountain Hill.

Born in Bethlehem on October 1, 1925 to the late William J. Smullin and Ruth C. (VanBilliard). She is the wife of the late John Meilinger. Ellen worked for Environmental Services at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill for 18 years until retiring. She is a member of The Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem.

Survivors: Loving children: Rodney J. and his wife Christine M., Nathan E. and his wife Gail J., Noreen E. wife of Eugene E. Fernandez all of Hellertown; sister-in-law: Florence D. Smullin of Allentown; grandchildren: Toni J. Fernandez, Claudia M. Meilinger, Andrew Meilinger and his wife Jessica, Gregory T. Meilinger; great grandson: Trenten Meilinger. Predeceased by a brother: Robert T. Smullin.

Services: The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the church, 321 Wyandotte Street, Bethlehem. There will be no calling hours.
