Michael Evans, age 86, of Allentown PA, died Thursday, May 5, 2005 in the Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the husband of the late Marie L. (Lombardi) Evans.

Born in Allentown PA, Michael was the son of the late Harry and Katherine (Hrabava) Evanev. He was employed as an Orthopedic Technician for the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township for 22 years, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, he worked for Dr. Richard K. White, Orthopedic Surgeon, was a building supervisor at Liberty Square Medical Center and an Operating Room Technician at the Valley Forge Army General Hospital. He honorable and faithfully served his country during World War II in the United States Army attached to the Medical Corps Operating Room.

He is survived by his Sons, Michael P. Evans of the Fiji Islands and Paul J. and his wife Cheryl B. (Berrigan) Evans of Macungie PA; Brothers, John Evans of Allentown PA and Stephen Ewanev of Wescosville PA; and 5 Grandchildren.

A Private Memorial Mass will take place on Tuesday, May 9, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown PA. There are no Calling Hours. The Reverend Monsignor John P. Murphy celebrant. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
