Jean M. (Eisenhard) Wieand, 75, of Allentown, died Monday, November 1, 2010 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Donald R. Wieand. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last June 6.

Born in Allentown, May 8, 1935, Jean was the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Sleight) Eisenhard. She was employed as a teacher assistant at Lehigh Valley Child Care for 18 years before retiring in 1995. Jean was a member of St. John's U.C.C., Allentown, where she was in charge of the nursery for 8 years.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, Donald; son, David M. Wieand, at home; daughters, Nancy J. wife of Jeffrey D. Long of Allentown, Jane E. wife of Robert C. Hartzell of Nazareth; brother, Robert Eisenhard and his wife, Elaine, of Whitehall; sisters, Lila Mest of Gilbertsville, Elaine Martin of Zephyrhills, Florida; grandchildren, Lyndi, Thomas, Ryan and Matthew; predeceased by a son, Tommy and a daughter, Karen.

Services: Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2010 at St. John's U.C.C., 36 South Sixth Street, Allentown, with the Rev. Karen S. Moeschberger officiating, Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
