Jim was born in Wellsville, NY on January 2, 1932 to Hortense and Irving Arnold. He was a Navy/Marine pilot in the 1950s. Following graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology, he moved to Pittsburgh in the early 1960s, where he was employed with ABB Air Preheater.

Jim was an avid golfer at Sewickley Heights Golf Club, a member of FOF, and a long term Steelers season ticket holder.

Jim will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Eva, his daughter, Carrie Fleckenstein, his son, Craig, and his nine grandchildren, Kali, Brady, Katrina, Caiden, Harrison, Maxwell, Avery, Paige and Cate.
