Frank J. Bobbin, age 77, of Allentown PA, went home to his Heavenly Father, while surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, May 25, 2007, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the husband of Elizabeth Rose (Raiewski) Bobbin. The couple celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary last September 22nd.

Born in Nanticoke PA, July 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Francis and Josephine (Hozlock) Bobbin. He was employed as an Engineer for the former Bell Telephone, in Allentown for 35 years before retiring in 1985. After that he worked as Chief Engineer for his sons at Ray Communications in Conshohocken for 5 years. He served in the United States Army Signal Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown. Frank was a proud Member and past President of the Bell Telephone Pioneers, where he volunteered with his Wife during the Special Olympics at Indiantown Gap. He was honored as Pioneer of the Month for August 2006. He also volunteered as "Applesauce" the clown as a member of Clowns of America. Frank also had a passion for Golf. The highlight of his golf career was a hole in one at the former Twin Lakes Golf Course.

In addition to his loving Wife he is survived by his Sons, Terry and his wife Patricia of New Bern NC, Scott of Sterling VA and Bryan and his wife Brenda of Boyertown PA; Daughters, Kathy, wife of Carey Troxell and Patti wife of Jon Hutchinson, both of Slatington PA; Sister, Phyllis Bobbin of Florence SC; 8 Granddaughters and 6 Grandsons.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2007 in the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11th & Washington Sts., Allentown. A visitation period will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Tuesday in the Church. Interment will be private. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. of Schnecksville PA is in charge of arrangements.
