Ferdinand C. Beitel, age 96, of Palmer Township PA, formerly of Hellertown PA, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at ManorCare Health Center, Palmer Township PA. He was the husband of Dorothy L. (Williams) Beitel. The couple celebrated their 73rd Wedding Anniversary last March.

Born in Freeland PA, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Julia (Kauker) Beitel. He worked for 25 years at the Bethlehem Steel until retiring. He was a Member of the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown PA. He was also a Member of the FLEAS Club of Easton, the Sertoma Club of Easton and past Treasurer of the Dewey Fire Co., Hellertown.

He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Thomas C. and his wife Cynthia M. Beitel of West Chester PA and Carl F. and his wife Marie A. Beitel of Hellertown PA and FL; Daughters, Marian R., wife of Ronald B. Lennen of Bethlehem PA and Dorothy A. Dunn of Bridgewater NJ; Brothers, Marcel Beitel of Freeland PA, Thomas Beitel of Laceyville PA and Edward Beitel of Virginia; Sisters, Margaret Chernak of New Jersey and Mary Lou Holland of Freeland PA; 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter.

A Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. Family and Friends may call 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Church. Interment to follow at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Hellertown PA.
