Marie C. George, 90, of Kempton, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 in her home. She was the wife of the late Angus A. George who died July 1, 2005.

Born in Ironton on February 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Samuel S.P. and Cora (Peters) Helfrich. Marie was employed for JCPenney’s in Whitehall as a clerk for many years until retiring. She was a member of St. Paul’s Seiberlingsville UCC, Kempton and served as its Organist for 60 years.

Survivors: Son: Stanley A. and his wife Carol George of Kempton; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; She was Predeceased in death by Son: Larry A. George; Daughter: LaRue M. Laub; Brothers: Calvin, Raymond, Stewert, Andrew, Earl and Harold Helfrich.

Service: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in the St. Paul’ s Seiberlingsville UCC, 3880 Werleys Corner Road, Kempton, PA with the Rev. Russell Campbell, officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church. Interment will follow the service at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Kempton. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville
