Anna M. (Steigerwalt) Musselman, 87, formerly of Lovers Lane, Slatington, died Monday, February 15, 2010 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where she had been residing. She was the wife of the late LeRoy A.O. Musselman.

Born in Andreas, Carbon County, on September 27, 1922, Anna was the daughter of the late Elias F. and Sadie M. (Schnell) Steigerwalt. She was employed as a sewing machine operator in various textile mills in the Slatington area for 45 years before retiring in 1984. She and her late husband also enjoyed farming at their Washington Township residence where they sold fresh produce and blueberries. She was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

Survivors: Children, Dorothy M. Berger and her husband Donald of Palmerton, Luther A. Musselman and his wife Darlene of Slatington, Ruth A. Weaver and her husband Donald of Schnecksville, Alice J. Christman and her husband “Duke”, Sterling Jr. of Slatington; brothers, Russell A. Steigerwalt of Walnutport, Allen A. Steigerwalt of Jim Thorpe, Burdell C. Steigerwalt of Bowmanstown, Norman H. Steigerwalt of Lehighton; sister, Alverta M. Kern of Allentown; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; predeceased by siblings, Emma M. Shaffer, Ellen Anstead, Frederick C. Steigerwalt, Myles Steigerwalt, James E. Steigerwalt, Cora C. Rex and Elias F. Steigerwalt, Jr.

Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville with the Rev. Dennis W. Moore and the Rev. Jami L. Possinger officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
