Myrtle S. (Lynn) Barney, formerly of Slatington, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Cedarbrook - Allentown. She was the wife of the late Paul Albert Barney.

Born in Emerald, Myrtle was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Lulu May (Remaley) Lynn. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Slatington. Having a great love of animals, Myrtle was a member of the Lehigh Valley Humane Society.

Survivors: Children, Paula S. George of Slatington, Maxine B. Sestok and her husband Frank of Palmerton, Michael A. Barney and his wife Valerie of Walnutport, Maria A. Barney of New York City, NY, Tonia L. Barney of Slatington; three grandchildren.

Service: Private. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
