Caroline B. Gasdaska Gombotz, 81, of Hellertown died Friday, January 29, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She is the wife of the late George J. Gasdaska and the late Joseph Gombotz.

Caroline was born in Bethlehem on May 17, 1928 to the late Otto & Minerva Bodner. Caroline worked as a silicon chip technician at the former Western Electric, Allentown for 34 years before retiring in 1984. Caroline was a member of the IBEW Pioneers and the Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown.

Survivors: Son, John P. Gasdaska and his wife Lisa of Marysville; Daughter, Patrice A. wife of Kerry Kempf of Kunkletown; and 6 Grandchildren. Predeceased by a Son, George J. Gasdaska, Jr.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at the church, 1408 Easton Rd. Hellertown. The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Caroline's memory to one's favorite charity.

Dear Patty and Jay,
I was so sorry to hear about your Mom's death but so glad that I could spend some time with her at the picnic this summer. She looked wonderful and was full of stories and jokes. Please forgive, but I cannot get to the funeral tomorrow. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
