Dear Jean, Richard, Robert, and David,
I want to express my sympathy to you on the death of your mother/grandmother. I truly missed the death notice in the paper and even though I spent a good portion of the past two days with you-- no one shared your sorrow. It was at a meeting last night that I learned of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers attend you. May God fill the void in your lives with His love and compassion.
In Christ,
Pr. Dennis W. Moore

My great-grandmother was a very special person to me. I have always greatly admired her for her hard work and love towards others. I think that she was probably the only person who only put one chocolate chip in her cookies because they are "bad for the liver". I always enjoyed visting Nana. Her smile always brought a smile to my face. Nana- I love you sooooooooooo much and will miss you alot. Take care of Papa up in heaven.

I only remember one great-grandmother and how lucky I was to know her for the past twenty years. From the day I was introduced to Nana she welcomed me with warm and loving arms. I could tell from the beginning that Nana and Papa were very influential in the lives of their grandsons, daughter and son-in-law. It didn't take long to see why everyone loved this couple so very much. Conversations always turned to fond memories of Papa's trucks and Nana's gardens and quilts. Nana was always so proud of my sewing and it always warmed my heart that she - of all people- thought I could sew. Nana taught me many things about sewing and cooking that I shall always treasure. To know how tickled she was to make loaves of bread in her new bread maker and how Papa could never get over how good each loaf was - Papa would say "Now that was good! You can't beat that!" I can still hear him say it and remember how amazed Nana was that making bread could be so simple. After all those years of hard work, she deserved something easy! We all have many fond memories of Nana and Papa and they shall live in our hearts forever! Thank you for enriching my life in ways no one else ever could! Much love always - Nancy

My grandmother was a very unique and private person. She truly was a role model that we could all learn from. Nana, as we and many referred to her - was more than a wife to my grandfather, more than a mother to their daughter and son-in-law and more than just our grandmother. She was truly a provider; if it was growing the best veggies in her truck patch or to making sure we, her grandsons, got to church on Sunday morning, she made sure that we did not forget the fundamentals of life and what family means to work together as one. Later in years, when my grandfather's health failed - she became a true caregiver. She never complained; her love was genuine and somewhat felt responsible for his well-being. This gave her a purpose in later years. Her journey has ended here but will always be in my heart. She lived a full life, but selfishly wished she could have enjoyed a few more months of comfort at New Seasons, where she had been staying. Nana - you have been a tremendous influence in my life and in my girls' lives - you will never be forgotten - YOU ARE THE BEST NANA ANYONE COULD ASK FOR!
