Edith B. (Bradshaw) Hansel, 101, formerly of New York City, NY and Plainfield, NJ, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township, PA. She was the wife of the late Gordon F. Hansel.

Born in Payette, Idaho, July 24,1908, Edith was the daughter of the late Rex and Grace (Pence) Bradshaw. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Idaho and then taught school in Idaho and New York City for many years before retiring. She was of the Episcopalian Faith.

Survivors: Sons, Dr. Jim G. Hansel and his wife Joan of Schnecksville, PA, William B. Hansel and his wife Ingrid of Osterville, MA; brothers, Douglas Bradshaw and Kenneth Bradshaw both of Idaho; grandchildren, Cary B. Hansel and Claire E. Santaniello; two step great grandchildren.

Service: Private and at the convenience of the family. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
