Benjamin Erceg, 77, of Freemansburg, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Old Orchard Health Care Center, Bethlehem Twp.

Born in Freemansburg on April 9, 1932 he was the son of the late Joseph & Anna (Domyan) Erceg. He worked as a landscaper for several companies in the Lehigh Valley for many years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Miller Heights. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors: Brothers, Anthony of Coplay, John of Bethlehem, Peter of Freemansburg; Sisters: Katherine Fisher, with whom he resided, Theresa Shannon of Allentown; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Michael, Stephen, sisters Eva, Mary and Anna.

Services: Services will be private. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown is in charge of arrangements.
