Christine M. (Marshall) Rafferty, 85, of Allentown, died Sunday, January 10, 2010 in the home of her daughter, Maureen E. Rafferty-Kist and her husband John with whom she resided. She was the wife of the late Edward L. Rafferty, Sr. Born in the Bronx, New York, December 24, 1924, Christine was the daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine (Touhey) Marshall. She was employed as an accountant for KLM Airlines at The John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York for 20 years before retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield. Survivors: In addition to her daughter, Maureen, daughter, Christine R. Hamill and her husband John of Allentown; three grandchildren, Cristin, Caitlin and her husband Tim, Molly; predeceased by a son, Edward L. Rafferty, Jr. who died in 2008. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield with the Rev. Michael E. Mullins as Celebrant. Family and friends may call 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church. Private inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, Wescosville.
