Earl C. “Pop” Wuchter, 81, of Northampton, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 in his home. He was the husband of Betty L. (Danner) Wuchter. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary last February 16.
Born in Northampton, on April 4, 1928, Earl was the son of the late Earl C. and Elsie (Confer) Wuchter. He was employed in the Heat Treatment Department of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 35 years before retiring in 1986. He also farmed his land in Allen Township for 45 years. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Earl was a member of Zion's Stone United Church of Christ (Kreidersville) Northampton.
Survivors: Wife; Children, Keith A. Wuchter and his wife Sheila of Ohio, Karen A. Miranda and her husband Edilberto of Allentown, Glenn A. Wuchter and his wife Susan of Virginia; Brother, Kenneth D. Wuchter of Whitehall; Sister, Mae Reiner of Walnutport; seven Grandchildren; three Step Grandchildren.
Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Glenn S. Rice officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Zion Cemetery, Northampton.
