David J. Bruni, Sr., age 73, of Schnecksville PA, died Saturday, November 23, 2002 in his home. He was the Husband of Anastasia A. (Labutis) Bruni. The couple celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary this month.

Born in Mahanoy City PA, he was the son of the late Bernard and Rose Mary (Garze) Bruni. He was a Toll Collector and Clerk for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission for 39 years before retiring in 1989. He was a Member of the Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, 633 West Washington Street, Slatington PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II, with a rank of Private First Class. He was Past President of the Slatedale-Emerald Lions Club and a former Member of the North Whitehall Township Planning Commission.

He is survived by his Wife; Son, David J. Bruni, Jr. of Allentown PA; and Grandson, Michael D. Bruni of Allentown PA.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002 in the Church. Family and Friends may call 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Church. The Celebrant is The Reverend Joseph L. Grembocki. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mahanoy City PA. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
