Henry T. Rohr, 91, of Orefield, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Arlene C. (Crouthamel) Rohr. The couple celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last September 26.

Born in Neffs, May 16, 1918, Henry was the son of the late Harvey J. and Lillian M. (Rupp) Rohr. He was employed as a chemical worker at the former Trojan Powder Co. in South Whitehall Township for 44 years before retiring in 1985. Henry faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where served as a Deacon, the Copeechan Fish & Game Club, Schnecksville, and the Tri-Clover Fire Company. Henry was a former Boy Scout Leader, in Egypt.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Henry T. Rohr, Jr. and his wife, Charlene, of Portage, WI, Robert H. Rohr and his wife, Linda, of Catasauqua, Terry L. Rohr at home; brother, Theodore J. Rohr, Sr. of Orefield; grandchildren, Trevor, Christopher, Thomas and Sherry; great grandchildren, Derek, Amber and Abigail; predeceased by a brother, Arthur E. Rohr.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Family and friends may call 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Egypt Cemetery.
