Charles Lee Best, age 76, of Allentown PA, died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 in his home. He was the husband of Mary Dolores (Vogelsang) Best who currently resides in Hazleton PA. The couple celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary last July.

Born in Allentown PA, Charles was the son of the late Charles Lewis and Edna R. (Bear) Best. He retired from the former Western Electric in Allentown as a Supervisor where he and his wife were employed for many years before retiring. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his Wife; Sisters, Mary Alice Miller of Allentown PA and Nancy Lou McClain of Williamsburg VA. He is predeceased in death by a Sister, Frances C. Kern.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2005 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA with the Reverend Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Family and Friends may Call: 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
