Ruth E. (Heist) Henninger, 75, of Center Valley died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She is the husband of the late Marvin F. Henninger (died Oct. 3, 1978).

Born in Quakertown on December 9, 1933 to Alverda Heist of Center Valley and the late Frank Zamper . Ruth worked at the former Allentown College in food service for many years until retiring. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Spinnerstown.

Survivors: In addition to her Mother; Son, Peter A. and his wife Daneen of Coopersburg; Daughters, Debra R. wife of John G. Balliet of Wescosville, Karen B. wife of Stephen E. Yanek Jr. of Harrington, DE and Lisa A. at home; Brother, Michael F. at home; 2 Grandchildren, Jessica A. Hoffman and Philip J. Balliet; and 2 Great Grandchildren, Benjamin H. and Samuel H. Hoffman.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 10 - 11 a.m. Thursday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will conclude services at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
