Charles A. Bortz, age 81, of Hellertown PA, died Saturday, October 14, 2006 at his residence.

Born in Allentown PA, he is the son of the late Harold M. and Estella (Beck) Bortz. Charles worked for the US Merchant Marines in various ports the majority of his life. He is a Graduate of Princeton University, Princeton NJ and served his country honorably during World War II in the United States Army 517th Division Paratroopers.

He is survived by his Sister, Frances A. Aull of Baltimore MD; and Nieces and Nephews. He is predeceased in death by Eva M. Goldman, 1994.

Family and Friends are invited to call 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Service will be at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of St. Luke's, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem PA 18017.
