Andrew Zachar, Jr., 69, of Upper Saucon Twp., died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Twp. He is the husband of Patricia A. (Pealer) Zachar. Born in Allentown on November 4, 1939, he is the son of Ethel R. (Frankenfield) Zachar of Hellertown and the late Andrew Zachar, Sr. Andrew worked at ASM Marketing as a Sales Representative until his retirement. He was a Life Member of Cloverleaf Archery Club. He formed the group Andy Starr and the Casinos and was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2003. He wrote and performed on many different venues with his artistic music abilities which are readily available on the internet. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 48 years and mother; Son, Andrew S. of Coopersburg; Daughter, Susan A. wife of E. Kent Evans of New Castle, Delaware; and Brother-in-law, John Eck of Quakertown. He is predeceased by a sister, Joan E. Eck died 1982. Services: Family and friends are invited to call 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown and 9- 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Fritz Memorial United Methodist Church, 303 W. Packer Avenue, Bethlehem. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the VNA Hospice of St. Luke's, 1510 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA 18017, Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem 1430 Fritz Drive Bethlehem, PA 18017 and or the church 18015.
