Betty M. (Anderson) Bauer, age 75, of Allentown PA formerly of Orefield PA, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003 in the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's, Fountain Hill PA. She was the Wife of The Reverend L. Paul Bauer. The couple celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary in July.

Born in Muncy PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Goldy) Anderson. She was a Home Health Aid for the Lehigh County Home Makers and Home Health Services for 15 years, retiring in 1998. She was a Member of Faith Wesleyan Church, Orefield PA. Mrs. Bauer served as a Missionary with her husband in South Africa from 1957 - 1981.

She is survived by her Husband; Son, Lawrence P. Bauer, Jr. of Hellertown PA; Daughters, Gail D. Furby of Bredell, South Africa and Patricia M. Gerig of Bolivar OH; Brother, Carl Anderson of Muncy PA; 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter.

A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2003 in the Trinity Wesleyan Church, 6735 Cetronia Road, Allentown PA. There are no calling hours. The Reverend Dr. Harry F. Wood, The Reverend David P. Zeravsky, The Reverend Dr. Steven A. Gerig officiating. Interment will be Private. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
