Ralph L. Waltz, 73, of Schnecksville, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Marilyn R. (Danner) Waltz. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary last April 20.

Born in Ormrod, North Whitehall Township, on June 18, 1935, Ralph was the son of the late Russell C. and Elsie M. (Kern) Waltz. He was employed as an electrician at Mallinckrodt, Inc. formerly Trojan Powder Co., in South Whitehall Township, for 40 years before retiring in 1997. He also operated the former Waltz TV in North Whitehall Township for 25 years. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Slatington.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, Kimberly A. Beam and her husband David of Schnecksville; brothers, Donald C. Waltz of Allentown, Edward A. Waltz of Whitehall, Gordon M. Waltz of Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; predeceased by a son, David B. Waltz who died in 2001, brothers, Daniel and Stanley Waltz, and a sister, Ruth Blose.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2009 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. David S. Mohr officiating. Family and friends may call 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Zion Cemetery, Kreidersville.
