Lawrence J. Kahl, of Hanover Twp. died Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He is the husband of Margaret J. (Hine) Kahl.

Born in Belair, Maryland on August 10, 1928, he is the son of the late Joseph and LaRue (Thompson) Brockmeyer. Larry worked at the Bethlehem Steel as an accountant for 33 years until retiring in 1985. He is of the Lutheran Faith.

Survivors: In addition to the wife of 59 years; Daughters: Suzanne J. wife of Mark Herbold of Slatington and Lauri A. wife of Gregory Ehret of Bethlehem; and 9 Grandchildren; Luke L., Sallyann J., Leann N., & Matthew J. Herbold, Ashley M., Joshua M., Zachary T., Alyssa A. and Andrew T. Ehret

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 10 -11 a.m. Monday at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street - Hellertown with the service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
