Grace O. (Roth) Wessner, 86, of New Tripoli, died Thursday, November 06, 2008 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of Forrest A. Wessner, Sr. The couple celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last February 4.

Born in Stony Run, on October 1, 1922, Grace was the daughter of the late William and Amelia (Reppert) Roth. She assisted her husband Forrest in the operation of their farm in Heidelberg Township for many years before retiring. Grace was a member of the New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Tripoli.

Survivors: Husband; daughter, Ruthann J. Ely and her husband Raymond of Quakertown; sons, George W. Wessner and his wife Carol of New Tripoli, Forrest A. Wessner, Jr. and his wife Jane of Slatington; sister, Anna Yeakley of Sinking Springs; step sister, Pearl Brossman of Wernersville; 10 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren.

Services: Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 at the New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6804 Weiss Road, New Tripoli, with the Rev. Scott W. Lingenfelter officiating. Family and friends may call 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Monday in the church. Interment will follow the service at Ebenezer Church Cemetery, New Tripoli. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
