Thelma L. (Sittler) Frantz, 82, of Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, formerly of St. Cloud, Florida and Lehigh County, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 in the Masonic Villages at Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late Edward O. Frantz.

Born in Egypt, on June 16, 1926, Thelma was the daughter of the late Anson D. and Mary A. (Reifsnyder) Sittler. She was employed as an insurance agent for the Goschenhoppen Mutual Insurance Company and prior to that was a clerical clerk for the former Trojan Powder Co. in South Whitehall Township.

Thelma was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter # 258, Slatington, a 50 year member of the Lady Lillie Best Rebekah Lodge # 222, Schnecksville and a member of the Arthritis Foundation. In the late 1940's, she played the saxophone in an all-female Orchestra.

Survivors: Daughters, Cheryl A. Reitz and her husband Richard of Kissimmee, Florida, Donna M. DeLong of Palmerton; grandsons, Jason DeLong of Allentown, Michael Moyer of Elizabethtown; granddaughter, Traci Yeager of Winter Park, Florida; special mention, Diane, Walter and Brad Mills of Collegeville.

Services: Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Union United Church of Christ, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Family and friends may call 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church. An Eastern Star service will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday and a Rebekah Service 9:15 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Interment will follow the service in the Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
