Donald A. Braim, 78 years, of Orefield, died Saturday, August 30, 2008 in his home. He was the husband of Violet (Heintzelman) Braim. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last June 25.

Born in Dorneyville, on January 15, 1930, Donald was the son of the late Clarence and Lula (Reppert) Braim. He was a self-employed truck driver leased to Geo. Husack Trucking, Inc. in Schnecksville for 25 years before retiring in 1992. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with a rank of Corporal. Donald was a life member of the Community Fire Co. #1, Schnecksville.

Survivors: Wife; sisters, Marie Feather of Breinigsville and Dorothy Werley of New Tripoli.

Services: Private. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
