George Elliot Schmid, 80, of Center Valley, PA, formerly of Toms River, NJ died Friday, August 22, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Twp.

Born in Jersey City, NJ on October 6, 1927, he is the son of the late George and Louise (Benner) Schmid. George worked for Industrial Combustion Associates, New Jersey in sales for 20 years until retiring. George is of the Episcopalian Faith, and F&AM Lodge in Toms River, NJ. Freemasonry was a big part of his life.

Survivors: He will be sadly missed by his entire family. Sons: Glenn and his wife Debra of Phoenix, AZ, Randy and his wife Ellen with whom he resided, Scott of Exton, PA; Grandchildren:Jonathan, Caleigh, and Makayla.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call, Sunday, August 24, 2008 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc. 326 Main St. Hellertown, with the service at 7:00 p.m. Private interment at Bayview Cemetery - Jersey City, NJ.
