Edward T. Casselberry, 78, of Orefield, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at HCR ManorCare, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Lillian M. (Whitaker) Casselberry. The couple celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary last September 18. Born in Allentown on September 19, 1929, Edward was the son of the late Charles and Hattie (Romig) Casselberry. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era. Edward was employed at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 45 years before retiring in 1992. He also owned and operated Ed's Soils Farming where he worked as a lifelong farmer and sold landscaping products in South Whitehall Township. Survivors: Wife; sister, Carolyn B. Kaercher of Allentown; caregiver, Randy L. Peoples with whom he resided; niece, Sue E. Reppert and her husband Bob of Emmaus; nephews, David C. Kaercher and his wife Traci of Walnutport and Jon M. Kaercher of Weaversville; great niece and nephews, Jaeden, Jakob, Nicholas and Nicole. Services: Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Family and friends may call 12:30 - 1:30 pm. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
