Doyle D. Hopkins, 63, of Hellertown, formerly of Allentown, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown. He is the husband of Alice A. (Smith) Hopkins.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 17, 1945, he is the son of the late Dwain and Ovella (Moore) Hopkins. Doyle worked as a machine operator for Carpenter Company in Fogelsville. He was a member of Ebenezer New Reformed Church, Bingen.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 15 years; daughter: Christy D. McDonald of Easton; step son: Charles M. Meixsell and his wife Sheila of Hellertown; brothers: Ed and his wife Jean of TX, Ron and his wife Hazel of Illinois; sister: Sonja wife of Bill Hannel of Illinois; 5 grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter - Crystal Gail.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call 10 -11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2008 followed by the service at 11 a.m. at the Ebenezer New Reformed Church, 3211 Bingen Road, Bethlehem. The interment will conclude services at Bingen Sunrise Memorial Cemetery, Lower Saucon. The Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown is in charge of arrangements.
