

Mary (Wasko) Hyrowich, 83, of Orefield, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Cedarbrook - Allentown. She was the wife of Harry T. Hyrowich, Sr. The couple celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last January 20. Born in Egypt, Whitehall Township, on October 22, 1924, Mary was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Chernaga) Wasko. She was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former D & D Mills and Cross Country Clothes both in Northampton before retiring. She was a member of the Orefield congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors: Husband; children, Harry T. Hyrowich, Jr. of Emmaus, Gary L. Hyrowich of Coplay, Linda S. Dillon and her husband John of Kutztown, David W. Hyrowich of Kempton, Kathleen L. Hyrowich, at home; brother, George Wasko of Ormrod; sisters, Helen Molchany of Whitehall and Shirley Rienker of California; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Hyrowich, who died in 2005. Services: Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday May 13, 2008 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
