Mary K. Turek, 84, of Hellertown, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She is the wife of the late Paul A. Turek (died Sept 24. 2005).

Born in Fountain Hill on May 26, 1923, she is the daughter of the late George H. & Mary W. (Connors) Yasso. Mary worked as a Caterer at the Dewey Fire Company, Hellertown for 6 years until 1978 and also assisted at the former Beckett's Catering, Hellertown for 6 years. She was a member of Church of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, Hellertown, a former Girl Scout Leader of Troop #89, Past President and District President of District 20, VFW Post #3094 and Past President of the Edward H. Ackerman Post #397, both in Hellertown.

Survivors: Daughter: Paulette T. wife of Randal H. Breininger of Richlandtown; 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter Patricia Ann Riegel (died Sept. 26, 1992) and a brother George F.

Services: Private service at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown. There will be no calling hours.
