Joyce M. (Mantz) Snyder, 78, of Cherry Hill, NJ, former of Saegersville, PA, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Cadbury Continuing Care in Cherry Hill, NJ. She was the wife of the late Hilbert “Bert” G. Snyder.

Born in Lehighton, PA on November 7, 1929, Joyce was the daughter of the late Edgar and Bessie (Dotter) Mantz. After graduating from Allentown High School, Class of 1947 and the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing in 1951, Joyce was employed as a registered nurse, working at the Allentown State Hospital and the former Allentown General Hospital before retiring. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, Riverton, NJ.

Survivors: Daughter, Sandra “Sandy” J. wife of Attorney Bruce M. Gunn of Riverton, NJ; sister, Bettie Appel of Allentown; nieces, Pat Mugavero of Allentown, PA and Linda Black of Nashville, TN; nephews, David Appel of Allentown, PA and Donald Appel of California; predeceased by a sister, Mildred Black.

Services: Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc.,4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Debra May Cerra officiating. Family and friends may call 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 - 9:50 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Ebenezer Church Cemetery, New Tripoli.
