Arlene E. (Wessner) Hausman, 94, formerly of Pleasant Corner, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the Lutheran Home at Topton. She was the wife of the late Lawrence E.A. Hausman. Born in New Tripoli on October 30, 1913, Arlene was the daughter of the late George F. and Jennie (Hunsicker) Wessner. She served her country as an airplane spotter during World War II and her community by soliciting funds for the March of Dimes, the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Slatington. Survivors: Daughters, Diana J. wife of Bruce H. Hill of Slatington and Sandra H. wife of J.C. Klick of Lititz; brother, Forrest Wessner, Sr. of New Tripoli; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. Services: Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at Heidelberg Union Church, 5187 Irvin Road, Slatington with the Rev. David L. Hess officiating. No calling hours. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
