Mahlon M. Werkheiser, age 70, of Springtown PA, died Saturday, December 07, 2002 at the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's, Bethlehem PA. He was the Husband of Marjorie E. (Hixson) Werkheiser. The couple celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary this past September. Born in Lower Saucon Township PA, he was the son of the late William T. and Bertha (Adams) Werkheiser. He was a Shipper at E.W. Knauss Dried Beef, Quakertown PA for 23 years until retiring. He previously worked at the former Gutshall Chevrolet, Hellertown. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was a Member of the Salem United Methodist Church, Springtown PA. He was a Life member of Disabled Veterans Association. He is survived by his Wife; Sons, Don B. Werkheiser of Hellertown PA and Lee W. Werkheiser of Bethlehem PA; Brother, Walter H. Werkheiser of Plantation FL; Sister, Alberta Smith of Riegelsville PA; 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. He is predeceased in death by his Daughter, Faith Werkheiser, 1961. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2002 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown PA. Family and Friends may call 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home. Interment in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
