In the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), the returning householder said to the servant who had faithfully used his gift: "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master." Orlo Williams always used his gifts, which were many, to enrich the lives of his family, his friends, his church, and his community. He was tireless in his service and served with a spirit of love and compassion. Faithful to Jesus Christ, he walked a path of discipleship that honored our God and built up the church he loved so much. Proud of his Welsh heritage, he worked to preserve the Welsh culture. It was a privilege to minister with and to Orlo over the many years of our relationship. Orlo, Hilda, and his brothers, Lloyd and Ivor, will always hold a special place in my heart. They taught a young and inexperienced pastor how to lead by example and serve Jesus Christ with passion. "Well done, good and faithful servant . . . enter into the joy of your master."

Barbara, Amy, and I send our deepest condolences to Olinda, Faren, and their families. May God's blessing and peace be with you in the days to come.
