Dear Mr. & Mrs. Amato and family,

Our deepest sympathies are with the both of you and your family. We can understand the pain and anquish all of you are going through at this time. While we did not know your son our daughter, Cheryl, who was one or two years behind your son in high school probably did. Unfortunately, she took her life three years ago. My main reason for writing was to offer you hope. Hope that as time passes the deep pain that you are now feeling will ease, maybe slowly, but we hope it will. We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Respectfully,
Alan & Janet Zavacky

Vince, Janine, and Family

I would like to express my deepest sympathy in the loss of your son Vinny. Although I did not know him, I remember growing up with both of you. When I heard of his passing I felt compelled to write you. The loss of a child is unthinkable and unbearable. On 7/23/06 my youngest daughter Kate took her life. Both of you and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard of your loss. May you find comfort in your family and friends, and may God help and guide you through this difficult time.

God bless you

Uncle Vince, Aunt Janine, and Cousins...

I've longed for a reunion with Vinny, my cousin, and best friend as a child. I had seen him just a few month ago, working a roof near my parents house In Easton.

He was all dirty, working hard as you would expect from Vinny. He was able to meet my daughter as well for the first time. Unfortunately, that was the last time I seen Vinny, and It hurts me more than anything to realize I won't get my long awaited reunion. I know just how close you all are as a family and my thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.

I'll always remember Vinny and his competitive nature, from playing hide-n-seek at the farmhouse, to his toughness on the football field. Anyone who knew Vinny knew that he had such a great sense of humor, and could make you laugh just out of sheer silliness. I know he will be missed by friends and family immensely. My Mother, Father, myself, and siblings are all here for you throughout this difficult time.

"mut and jeff"

Sincerely,
Charlie Christopher &

To the Family:

When we were small Vince and I played together on Berwick Street. I lived at 1035 W. Berwick. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss and over the years I've wondered what ever became of Vince. You have my sincerest sympathy. I remember that no matter how many times I would make him play He-Man and She-Ra he would do it, even though it wasn't his favorite game. And I remember getting in trouble from my Mom one time when his Dad was working on our roof and Vince and I were in the yard and went up the alley to his house to get get ice cream and no one realized we were gone (my mom thought we were kidnapped). Granted, I didn't know vince in his adult years, but I still remember him being my best friend when I was five. May he find peace.

To the Amato Family:

Our prayers and thoughts are with everyone in your family with the loss of your son and brother, Vinny. Our families met Vinny when he did roof work at our houses and we were impressed with how hard he worked and how conscientous he was. Vinny was always friendly, courteous, and was a joy to meet. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
