Robert G. Ambers, age 79, of Center Valley PA, formerly of Germansville PA, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township PA. He was the husband of Bernice (Beidler) Ambers. The couple celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary last December.

Born in Ambler PA, Robert was the son of the late John and Helen (Dotts) Ambers. He was employed as a Construction Supervisor for FMC Corp., Chalfont PA, for 12 years before retiring. Prior to that, he Owned and Operated the former Germansville Hotel and had worked at the former Western Electric in Allentown as a Glass Blower. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II as a Boatswains Mate 2nd Class.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughters, Janice E. Charles of Phoenix AZ, Sharon K. Rodriguez and her husband David of Whitehall PA and Sandra L. Brinckman and her husband Kevin of Zionsville PA; Grandchildren Brandy, Amber, Michael, Jeffrey and Eric and Great Grandchildren Darby and Connor.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville PA with the Reverend Russell L.J. Heintzelman officiating. Family and Friends may Call 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Friedensville Cemetery, Upper Saucon Township PA.
