Charles T. Martin, Sr., age 89, of Hellertown PA, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill PA. He is the husband of the late Sophie (Dyja) Martin, 1990.

Born in Hellertown PA, he is the son of the late Dezso and Katalin (Zadravecz) Martin. Charles worked in the #3 Treatment Shop as a Millwright at the former Bethlehem Steel for 44 years, retiring in 1980. He served this country honorably during World War II in the United States Army in Company A 289th Infantry 75th Division. He was a Member of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem PA. He was also a Member of the Dewey Fire Company, Hellertown PA.

He is survived by his Son, Charles T., Jr. and his wife Susan C. of Hellertown PA; Daughter, Shirley A., wife of Richard M. Mitchell of Bethlehem PA; Brothers, Eugene P. of Bethlehem PA and Frank and his wife Sadie of Hellertown PA; Sister, Julie Fraley in Virginia; One Grandson, Russell C.; and his Friend, Ethel Adams. He is predeceased in death by his Brothers, Steven and Joseph; and Sister, Anna Savitske.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main Street, Hellertown. Family and Friends may call 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow services at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
