Nicholas Mesko, age 88, of Bethlehem PA, died July 22, 2004 at the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's, Fountain Hill PA. He was the Husband of Matilda (Sarik) Mesko. The couple celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary last October.

Born in Bethlehem PA, he was the son of the late Emil and Agnes (Famina) Mesko. He was an Assistant Roller in the Combination Mill of the Bethlehem Steel for 43 years, retiring in 1979. He served his country faithfully as a Veteran of the United States Army during WWII having served in Guam. He was a Member of the USWA Local Union 2599, Bethlehem Pa and the South Side Volunteer Firemans Relief Association and played Professional Soccer with the Hungarian Team. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather. He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his Wife; Daughters, Christine C. Snyder of Bethlehem PA and Elaine "Liz" E., wife of Kenneth Haug of Bethlehem PA; Brother, Peter Mesko of Bethlehem; Sister, Mary Takach of Allentown PA; 4 Grandchildren, Timothy Kachmar, Erik Takacs, Tara Takacs, Elizabeth Kachmar and 3 Great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Devin and Madeleine Kachmar. He is predeceased in death by his Brother, Alex Mesko, John Mesko and Stephen Mesko and Sister, Anne Burke
