John Ambrose, Jr., age 89, of Orefield PA, died Monday, December 12, 2005 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown PA. He was the husband of Claudine V. (Miller) Ambrose. The couple celebrated their 67th Wedding Anniversary last September.

Born in Palmerton PA, John was the son of the late John Sr. and Suzanna (Hromada) Ambrose. He was a Laborer for the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton PA for 42 years, retiring in 1978.

He is survived by his Wife; Granddaughter, Kim J. Betz and her husband Alan of Germansville PA; Grandson, Kevin N. German and his wife Connie of Kuhnsville PA; and 5 Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased in death by his Daughter, Ruby J. German, 1988; and Grandson, Norman W. German, Jr., 1989.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no Calling Hours. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., Schnecksville PA.
